Tile Factory Outlet is your one-stop destination for premium wall and floor tiles at unbeatable prices. With a strong presence in both our Palmerston North showroom and growing online store, we’re looking for a motivated Retail Assistant to join our dynamic team.
- About the Role
As a Retail Assistant, you’ll be the face of our brand—working closely with trade professionals, wholesale clients, and retail customers to provide expert advice and top-notch service. Whether it's helping a builder meet a deadline, supporting a designer with product knowledge, or guiding a homeowner through tile selections, you'll be there to make it happen.
- Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in-store and online with tile selections and product information
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with trade and wholesale clients
- Deliver inspiring and practical design solutions for retail customers
- Process sales, quotes, and online orders accurately
- Maintain a clean, well-presented showroom environment
- Restock shelves and assist with general store duties
- We’re Looking for Someone Who
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Enjoys working with a wide range of customers from tradespeople to home renovators
- Has a flair for interior design or an eye for colour and layout (tile experience a plus, but not essential!)
- Is reliable, self-motivated, and a team player
- Can confidently work in a fast-paced, hands-on retail environment
- Has basic computer skills (knowledge of Shopify or retail POS is an advantage)
