Chinese Restaurant is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pastry Cook to join our team. We specialize in producing high-quality fresh noodles and traditional pastries such as wonton and dumplings, and we are looking for someone with a passion for authentic Chinese cuisine and strong technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and produce a variety of fresh noodles, including hand-pulled, knife-cut, and machine-made noodles, following traditional recipes and techniques.
- Make pastry dough from scratch, ensuring the correct consistency and texture for different noodle and pastry products.
- Shape, cut, and portion noodles and pastries according to specifications.
- Operate and maintain noodle-making machines and other kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
- Monitor dough fermentation and texture to achieve consistent quality in finished products.
- Package and label freshly made products for distribution.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and production areas.
- Follow food safety regulations and adhere to quality control procedures.
- Manage ingredient inventory, including preparation and storage of raw materials.
- Assist in developing new noodle and pastry recipes to expand the product range.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar environment
- Strong hands-on skills in dough preparation, noodle cutting, and pastry shaping.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern techniques of noodle and pastry production.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-production environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings and weekends if required.
- Competitive hourly wage of $27.00–$30.00, depending on experience.
