In this role, you will practise both independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to promote health, prevent disease and diagnose, assess and manage tamarikis health needs.Key responsibilities include:Providing care to tamariki with a focus on assessing, diagnosing, treating, empowering and supporting patients/tūroro/tangata whai ora and their whānau using evidenced-based knowledge and skills to achieve optimal health outcomes.Focusing on complex patient/tūroro/tangata whai ora management to reduce the progression of disease, enable equity of access, promote wellness, limit disease, and prevent avoidable hospital admissions.While autonomous in their practice, will work in collaboration with other providers including Māori health providers, Pacific health providers, other district health services and primary health care.Provide expert clinical leadership that builds a highly skilled nursing workforce and fosters supportive and collegial workplace culture.Click here for view the position description.About the Team/Service/LocationAs part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll work in a supportive and welcoming environment, located in the Child Health Centre on the Whangarei Hospital campus.The Child Health Centre Clinic provides paediatric outpatient services for children from all over Northland.

These include paediatrician, allied health and nurse led clinics.
