Sales Team Leader

AF7 (Aida) is an established international direct Sales & Marketing organisation that is experiencing rapid expansion due to client demand. We are currently looking for a Sales Team leader who would like the opportunity to develop into the role of a Sales Manager for our Fundraising campaigns in Auckland and throughout New Zealand.

This includes gaining new customers for our clients through face-to-face marketing in and around the community. We deal directly with the public.

The successful applicant will have at least three years of relevant previous team-leading, training or management experience or a relevant Diploma level qualification.

In addition to the above you also need:

  • Experience in door to door direct sales – specifically fundraising
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Proven experience in managing, coaching and mentoring a direct sales team of 5+ people
  • Have the ability to plan and manage the day-to-day processes involved in running a team.
  • Have intermediate financial analysis skills.
  • Able to train and develop new recruits in house and out on the field
  • Has a positive, motivating personality that can drive and push sales

Your role will be to organise and control the operations of a team of face-to-face Sales Agents within Aida, in our Auckland location, to promote face-to-face direct sales of our client’s products and to reach and maintain set Sales Targets.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously. You will be responsible to:

  1. Gather and manage data on the sales of the sales team
  2. Submitting records and reports to the company
  3. Utilise sales reports for the team as well as for individual team members to monitor and manage productivity of the sales team
  4. Provide direction and feedback to team members and assist with recruitment
  5. Promote and sell the company’s clients’ products and business services
  6. Ensure all customer interactions made by your team are appropriate and professional – by issuing and reviewing regular customer service policies and procedures within the sales team through regular training - i.e. for the avoidance of doubt the customer in this statement refers to customers met in their homes during the sales process.
  7. Maintain excellent customer (Client) relations – i.e. for the avoidance of doubt the customer in this statement refers to Aida Clients E.g. Non-Profit organisations.
  8. Manage, motivate and develop the sales team by providing training on sales techniques and skills
  9. Ensure operational efficiency of the sales team by coordinating tasks within the team
  10. Liaise with other Team Leaders of sales teams to identify target sales territories and to plan coordinate sales efforts
  11. Visit customers to establish selling opportunities
  12. Record customer details accurately and in a compliant manner.
  13. Report to General Manager

This job is full time, 35 hours a week, with an hourly pay of $27.80. This position is suited to someone who is ambitious, embraces challenges and is looking for the next step in their career.
