This role is focused on supportingthe safe, reliable and cost-effective supply of medicines across Health NZWaitaha Canterbury.You willplay a key role in the medicines supply chain, contributing to demandforecasting, inventory management and procurement activities that supportclinical services across the organisation.
The role requires close adherence tostandard operating procedures, contracts, and regulatory requirements to ensuremedicines are supplied safely and efficiently.You willwork closely with pharmacy staff, suppliers, distributors and other internaland external stakeholders, responding to supply issues, managing stock risksand supporting continuity of supply.
Clear communication and accuratedocumentation are essential components of the role.You will bepart of a collaborative pharmacy team made up of technicians, pharmacists,assistants and administrative staff who work together to deliver safe, timelyand patient focused medicines services.We arecommitted to developing our pharmacy technicians.

This role would suit someonewho enjoys working with systems and data, takes a proactive approach to problemsolving and understands how strong supply processes contribute to clinicalcare.Key tasks include:Managing day-to-day medicinespurchasing activities to support safe, reliable and cost-effective supplyacross the serviceMonitoring demand, forecasting usage and managing inventory levels tominimise supply disruption and wastageMaintaining accurate purchasing, contract and inventory records withinpharmacy systemsEnsuring purchasing activities comply with relevant SOPs, contracts,policies and regulatory requirementsLiaising with suppliers, distributors, couriers and internalstakeholders to resolve supply issues and manage changesMaintaining and updating SOPs and purchasing documentationProviding guidance and training to pharmacy staff on purchasingprocesses and systemsIdentifying opportunities forimprovement in purchasing and supply processes and contributing to servicedevelopmentAbout youHold a NZPharmacy Technicians Certificate (Level 5) At least twoyear's hospital pharmacy experiencePossess good computer skills including dataentry and retrieval Organised andreliableAttention todetailProactiveproblem solverAbility towork independently and efficientlyAbility towork calmly under pressureClear,professional communication skillsWorkingfor Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
