Maintenance Electrician - Dargaville
While experience in an FMCG processing environment would be an advantage, it's not essential if you have the right skills and attitude.
You'll be reporting to our Electrical Supervisor and working on a 2,2,3 roster (7 pm - 7 am) across an 84-hour fortnight, which means you'll have every second Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.
A typical shift could include:
- Responding quickly to breakdowns, setting priorities, and taking action to minimise downtime
- Carrying out preventative maintenance to avoid issues before they occur
- Planning and scheduling work to ensure plant availability, including ordering or requesting parts as required
- Performing failure analysis on equipment downtime that meets the agreed trigger points
- Building your technical expertise through training and development opportunities
- Supporting improvement projects, identifying opportunities, and helping design solutions
We're seeking a skilled, reliable, and composed individual who can excel under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll bring:
- Relevant Trade Qualification - EWRB Registered Electrician with a current full practising licence is essential
- Experience in preventative maintenance and fault-finding
- Experience with electrical control systems (PLC programming, SCADA, VSD's)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to work across all levels of the plant
- A flexible approach to working hours/days, including weekends
