In a nutshell
The Automotive Refinisher Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are prepared so they can be painted and finished to the highest quality standard, within agreed timeframes and in accordance with the approved repair specifications as set out by AMI MotorHub.
This is achieved by the timely planning and co-ordination of activities with the Production Manager and Repair Technicians.
Day to day- Assist with painting vehicles including cleaning and preparing surfaces to be painted, applying coats of primer, base paint, followed by clear coat
- Set up spray paint equipment and cleaning and maintenance of spray equipment
- Assist with paint jobs on all types of vehicles
- Check on jobs as part of the quality control process
- Review all vehicles for imperfections/defects and rectify in accordance with instructions from the Production Manager
- Keep the workshop management system up to date
- Work with other teams in the workshop to ensure that all technical issues and queries are resolved
- Assist with paint jobs on all types of vehicles
- Ensure that required documentation is complete and compliant before handover
- Follows all safety and security procedures
Hours of work will be 42.5 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours, 7:00am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
Annual salary range between $60,000 and $90,000 depending on skills and experience.
