About the Role

We are seeking a full time, permanent Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. Our team comprises of both Maori and non-Maori staff, clinicians and cultural/community support workers who share a passion for supporting Maori tangata whai-i-te-ora on their recovery pathway.

Manawanuis commitment to our clients ensures healing in a holistic manner considering whanau, cultural, spiritual, physical and mental dimensions to achieve the best possible standards of cultural-clinical care.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated clinician, responsibilities include managing a caseload, supporting the clinical leadership team, ensuring appropriate review of service user care, suitable workload allocation and clinical support and guidance to clinicians.

Supporting our service to meet key performance objectives is an important part of the role.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Manawanui Oranga Hinengaro is Health New Zealands Maori Mental Health Services operating within the Auckland metropolitan area. Our Mental Health Service for Maori aims to provide a quality mental health service to adult Maori tangata whai i te ora and their whanau.

We are based in Point Chevalier in Auckland.

About you

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you must meet the below minimum requirements.
  • Registration with the Nursing Council on NZ
  • Current Practising certificate
  • Current Full NZ drivers licence
  • Comfortable in Te Ao Maori settings
  • Computer skills including word processing
  • Commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori
