About the RoleAs a dedicated Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized nursing care that enhances patient outcomes and elevates their quality of life. We currently have opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team in OPR4 (stroke patients).

We are looking for candidates with current or recent stroke experience, who can work rotating and rostered shifts. You will need to have a current annual practicing certificate, excellent communication and time management skills, a passion for working with the elderly and enjoy working in a team environment.Click here to view the position description.
About the Team/ServiceOPR4 cares for stroke patients from all over Te Manawa Taki region with patients referred here from other regional hospitals like Whakatane, Lakes Area, Tauranga, Thames, Tokoroa and Rotorua. Our cohort of patients have had acute strokes and are over the age of 16.
We have a multidisciplinary team with special expertise in stroke care. Both our nursing and medical teams also support patients who have had a stroke and are being care for in another ward. The National Stroke Foundation clinical guidelines identified Stroke Unit Care as the most important intervention to improve outcomes for stroke patients and prevent further hospital admissions.
