Invercargill Community Mental Health team Southland HospitalNegotiable FTE up to 1.0 FTESalary band - $136,815 - $162,802 p.a pro-rata plus KiwiSaver and free car park Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleBased within our Community Mental Health team in Invercargill, the Nurse Practitioner will assist in improving client health and reducing health inequalities and clinical risk for service users, by identify high risk and complex health needs.This role will:assess, diagnose, treat and care planning for Tangata whai ora who have a mental illnessprovide consultancy, clinical leadership, and skilled advanced nursing practiceactively work on strengthening partnerships/alliances with internal and external stakeholdersdevelop alternative models of careprovide initial assessments for new referrals to the servicedemonstrate advanced nursing leadership and mentorshipcollaborate with other Te Whatu Ora Health Services, and NGOsdeliver on the objectives of the national health strategycontribute to the research agenda within the mental health service.To be successful in this role, you will work autonomously, but also in conjunction with an integrated and multi-disciplinary team and deliver quality evidence based care to your own case load.About the Team/Service/LocationHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
