Construction Worker

We are currently recruiting for an established client with projects all over Auckland. Due to several new projects picked up and a number of projects in the pipeline they are looking to expand their team.

Our client is willing to pay competitive rates based on experience, the work will involve mostly machine spotting but can also involve general and potential skilled laboring.

Ideally, we are looking for people who have experience working on construction sites, further requirements will be:

• Good understanding and ability to adhere to H&S standards
• Ideally previous experience working on a construction site
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communicator who shows initiative

• Preparing construction site materials and tools
• Cleaning and clearing sites from debris to eliminate possible hazards,
• Assisting in the assembly and breaking down of barricades and scaffolding
• Assisting contractors as required
• Carry materials and tools around work areas and building sites
• Operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws and hammers
• Operating heavy machinery when required
• Digging trenches, levelling ground and laying pipes and cabling
• Cleaning buildings and construction sites, maintain tools and equipment and adhere to all H&S procedures

All applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and be able to pass drug testing and MOJ background check.

Hours: Min 30 hours, max 45 hours
