Operations Manager – Hands-On, On-Site Leadership

We’re Garden and Tree Men, a leading Christchurch arborist & garden services company, and we’re after an experienced arborist ideally with leadership . They would be responsible for planning the work once job is confirmed and liaising with clients to schedule

We are a relatively small but fast growing business and want to bring on more expertise to set the platform for our next chapter.

• Plan, schedule, and resource all confirmed jobs.
• Keep crews productive, efficient, and delivering top-quality work.
• Recruit, train, and upskill staff.
• Maintain safety standards and compliance on every job.
• Manage vehicles, machinery, and tools.
• Roll up your sleeves and work on-site when the situation calls for it. (then fix why it called for it )
• Leadership experience in arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping, or similar trades.
• Strong scheduling and operational planning skills.
• A hands-on work ethic — happy to pick up the tools.
• Solid knowledge of NZ workplace safety requirements.
• Clear communication and people management skills.

Full-time – Based in Christchurch. (Could be done part time ATM )
