**ABOUT THE ROLE - NGA AHUATANGA O TE TURANGA**

As a **Financial Administrator**, you will play a vital role in assisting with the administration of rates, sundry debtors, accounts payable, and enterprise cash receipting. You will be a key team member, specifically supporting our rates and accounts payable functions as well as the wider finance team.

In this varied role your key responsibilities will include:

  • **Rates & finance team support** - assist with rebate processing, direct debit loading, sales notice processing, refunds and reporting.
  • **Banking & cash** - accurately process banking transactions and assist with daily reconciliations.
  • **Accounts payable & receivable** - process invoices, issue statements, manage debt collections, allocate payments, and reconcile accounts.

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused **Financial Administrator** who thrives when using their skills to help. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • **Financial administration experience** - a solid understanding of financial processes and best practices.
  • **High attention to detail** - ability to accurately process transactions, identify discrepancies, and ensure records are meticulously maintained.
  • **Numerical and analytical expertise** - proficiency in working with numbers and reconciling accounts
  • **Digital savvy** - confidence working with financial software, accounting systems, and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • **Problem-solving ability** - a proactive approach to resolving issues and identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • **Great communication skills** - strong written and verbal communication with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • **Multitasking capability** - ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
