Senior Fabricator / Welder
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned fabricator/welder with opportunities for Senior steel fabricator and Senior stainless steel or sheetmetal fabricators to join an established and growing engineering team in Marlborough. You’ll take on a diverse workload in either the stainless or carbon steel workshop, contributing to large-scale projects and jobbing work across both workshop and site environments.
Role description:Work as a senior-level fabricator/welder on stainless or carbon steel projects, delivering high-quality outputs across both workshop and site jobs.
Responsibilities will include:- Fabrication and welding of stainless or carbon steel
- Working on major projects and smaller jobbing work
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Supporting the foreman and mentoring team members
- Maintaining high quality and safety standards
- Trade qualification with 5+ years’ experience
- Supervisory experience to support the Workshop Foreman would be an advantage
- Welding certification
- Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
- Strong team player with high standards of workmanship
- A current NZ driver’s license and clear drug/alcohol test
