Community Support Worker - Whitianga
We are looking for dynamic, energetic, and conscientious individuals that can support our clients living with complex injuries/disabilities within their own homes.
The rewarding role of a Community Support Worker includes (but not limited to): Assisting clients with personal cares, home help, shopping assistance, and meal preparations
Supporting exercise programmesMoving and handling using hoists and manual transfers
Assisting clients to access the community
Days of Work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.
Pay Band: $24.73 - $30.78 per hour (this is based on the Pay Equity Settlement by the Ministry of Health – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity)

The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):
Previous experience in healthcare would be an added advantage and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided).Experience in Complex Care (Bowel and SPC Cares) would be preferred
Access to your own car and ability to drive Independently ( a Full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
Flexibility to travel
Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
Great communication skills
Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
