You may not have experience around overhead gantry cranes - however a knowledge of, and interest in all things mechanical will mean you are ideal for this role.
This job will suit either a qualified Fitter, a Registered Electrician or someone with sound practical mechanical engineering skills. Welding skills will be an advantage but certainly not essential.
It involves both workshop and site work. Applicants should be fit, keen, and comfortable working at heights, with a clean driver’s licence. You will be the face of our Business, and the ability to relate to our Customers is very important.
We are a Christchurch company specialising in overhead crane construction, installation and maintenance. We require a positive person with a desire to learn new skills to help this business maintain its existing customer base and continue to grow.

Be part of a team of Crane Technicians operating within Christchurch, the South Island and around New Zealand (out of town work will be available). Work will be carried out both in the workshop and on-site. Overtime is available.
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and certification of Gantry cranes. This includes:- Preventative Maintenance Servicing of our customer's cranes and hoists.
- General repairs, trouble shooting and problem resolution.
- Assist registered electricians as required.

A company vehicle and cell phone is provided as are breakfast barbeques and staff social events. Health Insurance following the qualification period.
