What you will be doing:
We are looking for an experienced Underground Services Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Services team at Auckland Airport. The purpose of this role is to provide planned and reactive maintenance on the Three waters network across the Airport precinct.This role is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 7.30am-4pm, rostered shift in an on-call rotation basis. The hourly rate for this role will be $33.17.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests based on priority level and update records.
- Carry out planned, corrective and reactive maintenance and update records.
- Enter updated and timely information into the Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ensure critical spares are maintained to agreed levels. Provide information to the Team Manager when spares are used or required.
- Be able to participate in an after-hours on call roster where applicable.
- Ensure effective safety instructions are followed for all work undertaken.
- Provide technical support to the Team Manager and Three Waters Reliability Engineer as required.
- Perform pump station checks and servicing on regular intervals, feedback to team leader on any faults or blockages.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Actively respond and contribute to emergency management in line with the responsibilities of this position.

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground services draining related trade roles
- Demonstrates strong technical understanding of reading and interpreting service drawings, and accurately identifying and locating underground services on-site
- Well-developed skills as a team contributor, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to obtain a Class 2, Hiab truck and Fork Hoist license (desirable but not compulsory)
- NZQA Level 1 Traffic Management (desirable but not compulsory)
- Able to drive manual vehicles
- Good verbal communication skills and a positive can-do attitude
- Available to be on-call
