Our Renal Services team is dedicated to becoming a centre of excellence in dialysis care at Waitemata by nurturing professional development, delivering high-quality care, fostering positive patient experiences, and maintaining an outstanding workplace culture.We are now excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our mission.
As part of our dynamic leadership team, the Clinical Nurse Educator will bring extensive renal experience and advanced nursing expertise. With our strong focus on exceptional patient care and effective teamwork, this role demands exemplary nursing leadership and the ability to be a positive role model within our Renal Service.
Our Clinical Nurse Educator will support teams across the whole Renal Service, working six 8 hour shifts each fortnight. The role will include on-floor teaching/coaching and support of staff and formal teaching therefore you must have an evident passion and enthusiasm for teaching and sharing knowledge, utilising a variety of innovative approaches.The successful candidate will have a strong focus on developing nurses from competent to expert practitioners within the renal service. They will have a passion for championing the delivery of excellent nursing care within our teams in collaboration with the Charge Nurse Manager, Associate Clinical Charge Nurse and Team Leads.
To be considered for this position, the following will be required:
Registered Nurse in New Zealand with current APCAt least 5 years renal nursing
Expert Renal RN Level 4 or equivalent
Extensive range of nephrology knowledge and skills.
Post-graduate qualification (achieved or in progress)
Contemporary renal nursing experience
