Queenstown - Quarry Operator & Loader Operator

We're a small, boutique quarry nestled in the stunning Gibbston Valley, just outside Queenstown, and we're seeking a dedicated Quarry Operator to join our crew here. We also have a Frankton Yard that is looking for a Loader Operator.
We specialise in sourcing and supplying beautiful, locally quarried schist rock for the building and landscaping industries, as well as providing alluvial gravels for construction and roading. If you're interested in working with natural materials and contributing to the development of our region, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Role 1: Gibbston Valley Quarry OperatorAs a Quarry Operator in our team, you'll be hands-on, building stockpiles, loading trucks, feeding screens. This means you will need experience operating loaders, dump trucks – and excavator experience would certainly be a plus. We are a small team, so being a team player is essential – willing to jump in and help, and being solution focused will go a long way.
What you will need -
To hit the ground running, you'll generally need:- Have a good attitude - not afraid to get your hands dirty
- WTR Endorsement
- A Full Class 2 or higher
- Dump Turck Experience
- Loader Experience
- A flexible attitude and a strong work ethic
- A safety-first mindset
- To be a NZ Citizen, Resident, or hold a current Open NZ Work Visa
- Previous Experience in Quarry operations
- Excavator Experience
- HR Licence

Role 2: Frankton Yard Loader Operator
We're looking for a self-sufficient Loader Operator to look after our Frankton Yard. In this role, you'll be the go-to person, overseeing daily operations, loading customers, processing payments/sales, and assisting with product needs.
What You'll Need
To hit the ground running, you'll generally need:- Good people skills, assisting customers and clients with our products
- A WTR endorsement
- A Full Class 2 or higher licence
- Loader Operating Experience
- A flexible attitude and a strong work ethic
- A safety-first mindset
- To be a NZ Citizen, Resident, or hold a current Open NZ Work Visa
- Previous Experience in Quarry operations
- Experience driving trucks or other machinery
