About the Role
As a Dental Assistant with our Oral Health Team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality clinical and administration support to our Dentists and Oral Health Therapists.
This role offers variety and challenge, working across a range of Community dental hubs and mobiles.
You may also be asked to support the hospital dental team with clinics, theatres and the Mobile Surgical bus

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Community Oral Health team provides dental care to tamariki from birth to 18 years in Dental Hubs and mobiles located across Hawkes Bay
Hospital Dental Services team provides specialist dental care across Hawkes Bay, delivering treatment in hospital settings, outpatient clinics, and mobile services.

About you
As a Dental Assistant, you will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care. You will also have:
- A strong work ethic and can do attitude
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Well-developed communication skills and an ability to engage with children, teenagers and adults with communication, neuro-diversity, developmental and cultural differences
- A flexible and proactive approach to working across multiple sites
- A strong focus on equity and making a real difference to the oral health of Hawkes Bay
- A strong commitment to infection control, health and safety, and quality standards
- Experience and a qualification as a Dental Assistant is desirable but not essential
