- Kōrero mō te Tūranga We are seeking an experienced Executive Coordinator to join the business and support team in Agriculture and Investment Services (AIS) business unit.
The business unit works to create a thriving and sustainable future for farmers, growers, primary industries and rural communities, and cares for the health and wellbeing of animals.
Is responsible for the operational delivery of compliance services associated with animals via our animal welfare inspectors, and National Animal Identification and Tracing staff.And is MPI's lead for natural adverse events affecting the primary sector and animals.As an Executive Coordinator within AIS, you will provide extensive diary and email management for two busy Directors, acting as a vital link between them, their teams, the office of the Deputy Director-General (DDG) AIS and the wider business.

- Mōu Ideally you will be experienced in or currently working as an Executive Coordinator, Personal Assistant or similar administration support role.Be able to demonstrate experience in providing exceptional support to senior management including strong interpersonal and communication skills, a solution-oriented approach, and a proven track record of establishing effective relationships.Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities.To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:A minimum of two years' experience as an Executive Coordinator, Personal Assistant or similar administration support role preferably within the New Zealand government.Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and manage work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of business priorities;Ability to proactively take initiative in identifying and resolving potential problems as you develop solutions.Multi-tasking ability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environmentAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration;Experience in managing workflow and records management;Strong understanding of MS Office products, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
