General Horticulture Worker & Machine Operator

Darling Horticulture is a well-established orchard in the Bay Of Plenty, committed to growing premium produce and maintaining the highest standards in orchard management and equipment operation.

We are passionate about our work and our people, and we’re excited to announce two permanent positions to join our dedicated team.

If you have a passion for horticulture and are experienced in operating machinery, we want to hear from you!

• Operating a range of orchard machinery
• Spraying
• Mulching orchard areas
• Mowing and maintaining orchard grounds
• Performing general maintenance tasks across the orchard
• Ensuring equipment is maintained and operating efficiently
• Contributing to the ongoing development and upkeep of the orchard

• A strong team player mindset and the ability to work well with others
• Mechanical skills an advantage!
• A commitment to Health & Safety practices at all times
• Punctuality, honesty, and a strong work ethic in all weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and contribute effectively to team goals
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Previous experience in horticulture and machinery operation is preferred but not required

This is a permanent position guaranteed 32 hours starting January 2026.
