Our team provide HVAC Mechanical, Boiler, Gas, Plumbing, Drainage, Electrical and Carpentry services to a variety of major clients that range from the education and government sector to commercial buildings and state of the art facilities across the region.
Aquaheat Facility Services Limited, based in Auckland is recruiting for Gasfitters and Gas Meter Technicians.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible to:
- Facilitate and support the replacement of gas meters that are associated with distribution companies and retailers smart meter exchange programmes.
- Complete all works in a professional and tradesman like manner to a level of quality in accordance with New Zealand Standards requirements and company guidelines.
- Check existing sites for compliance e.g. exclusion zones.
- Complete replacement of regulators and set pressure checks.
- Carry out drop/leak tests.
- Restore gas supply, purge and commission gas systems.
- Recommission gas appliances.
- Complete reporting and documentation.
- Have the ability to work on a mobile application to schedule and record work data.
To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:
- NZ registration in Gas Fitting
- Ideally possess a New Zealand Gas Industry Certificate of Competency
- Competent to carry out Gas Measurement System (GMS) disconnections and reconnections
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working on gas installations and maintenance of gas equipment
- Ability to respond to and satisfy customer requests
- Current Unrestricted NZ Drivers Licence
If you are a registered gasfitter interested in this position, training will be provided to obtain the GANZ CoC -Disconnect/Reconnect qualification.
