I am a 20-year-old woman with a physical disability (Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy) seeking female support workers to join my team immediately.
Location: Parklands, ChristchurchSchedule: Tuesday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM (4 hours/shift, 16 hours total weekly)
Pay: Starting at $23.50 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)Training: No prior experience needed; on-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal hygiene tasks (showering, dressing, toileting).Provide mobility support and help with transfers (training provided).
Assist with meal preparation and monitor feeding for safety.
Help manage medication and monitor health (check vital signs).
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Perform light and deep cleaning housekeeping tasks and clean medical equipment.
Follow care plans and report any changes in my condition.
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
Assist with transportation to appointments and events.
Key Qualities:
Good communication skills and a sense of humour.Comfortable assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
Flexible and adaptable to changes.
