Kick off 2026 with a fresh opportunity! We're recruiting for a well known civil construction company in the Queenstown Lakes region, looking for an experienced Construction Lead Hand to join their team on a permanent basis, starting in the new year.
Working under an experienced Site Foreman, you'll be leading small crews, staying hands on with the tools, and delivering high quality structural work in some of the most stunning landscapes in the country!
About the role:
- Lead small teams on site, supporting and motivating crew members
- Build retaining walls and carry out structural concrete work
- Work collaboratively with the Site Foreman and wider project team
- Maintain a strong health & safety focus
- Be a supportive, positive team member at all times
About you:
- Background in construction/civil/concreting (In one or all)
- Previous leadership experience ideal or ability to step into a lead role
- Able to work independently and drive quality onsite outcomes
- Reliable, proactive, and keen to get stuck in
- Excellent communicator
