We have exciting opportunity for a part time occupational therapist fix term to cover parental elave. You will be working at Child Development Centre Hamilton.

About the Team/Service
  • Waikato District is one of New Zealand's largest public hospitals, covering a large urban and rural community
  • Waikato District provides extensive allied health services.
  • Our occupational therapy team boasts many specialty areas, one of which is OTs working in Child Development Centre, working with children, aged from birth to 16 years old and with their families.
  • We are a friendly supportive team
  • The role will include both individual and group OT interventions and be involved with the multi-disciplinary team on diagnostic assessments

About you

We are seeking someone with:

  • Ideally at least 18 months post qualification experience
  • Sound clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
  • Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Pro-active and can-do approach with the ability to be flexible and work autonomously as well as in a team.
  • Full driver's licence
