THE ROLE

We're seeking an experienced Centre Administrator to be the organisational heartbeat of our centre. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and systems proficiency will directly support our teaching team and the whanau we serve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Financial administration using XERO accounting software (accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations,
reporting)
  • Day-to-day administrative operations and record management
  • Managing GSuite platform communications, calendars, and document collaboration
  • Supporting student enrolment processes and maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with families, staff, and external stakeholders (Ministry of Education, funding bodies)
  • Assisting with compliance documentation and reporting requirements
  • Coordinating centre communications and general office management
  • General Administration Duties

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential:
  • Proven proficiency in XERO accounting and payroll software
  • Demonstrated experience with GSuite/Google Workspace platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience in administrative roles (preferably within ECE or not-for-profit sectors)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred:
  • Experience with student management platforms (e.g., Infocare, or similar ECE management
systems)
  • Understanding of Ministry of Education ECE funding and compliance requirements
  • Previous experience in early childhood or community sector administration
