Digger Operator / Electrical Trade Assistant
About the Role
2JC Electrical Ltd is looking for a skilled and reliable operator to join our team.This role combines hands-on site work with a mix of digger operating, driving, and assisting our electricians on subdivision and network projects across Auckland.
You’ll spend most of your time operating small diggers, duct work, hauling cables, and handling deliveries using our Hiab and flat-deck trucks. When not behind the controls, you’ll be supporting our tradesmen with civil based electrical tasks.
We’re after someone practical, switched-on, and trustworthy someone who can work independently as well as assisting the crew when needed and take pride in tidy, safe work.- Key Responsibilities
Operate small diggers for trenching and reinstatement work etc
Drive company trucks and assist with deliveries, cable runs, and Hiab lifts
Assist in laying ducts, hauling cables and install street lights.
Support electricians and tradesmen on-site when required
Maintain vehicles, tools, and gear to a professional standard- Requirements
Class 2 licence (preferred)
Wheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsements (an advantage)
Sound understanding of civil or construction works (experience key)
Ability to work safely and independently – good attitude and reliability essential
Electrical knowledge a bonus – training opportunities available for the right person- What We Offer
