We are looking for an experienced support worker with a friendly personality, a sense of humor, initiative, and a sense of commitment.
You will provide support to the service users, to enable them to lead an independent lifestyle as possible. This will involve a program of personal care and household management that is personalized to the service user in the form of a Care Plan.
You will need to be able to/tasks involved:
- Identify and assess the extent of difficulties for the client and understand their needs and problems
- Implement a personalized care plan
- Monitor and report promptly on the progress of each client
- Support with their physical, emotional, or health-related needs
- Assist with personal cares including bathing, showering, shaving, etc. housework, hoisting, transferring, and meal preparation
- Assist client with mobility, manual transfer and hoisting, and access to the community.
- Assist clients with all types of communication.
We are looking for people who have:
- Passion for enabling the client to lead a good life
- Have a minimum of 3 months experience in homecare/healthcare
- Health and Wellbeing Qualification Level 3 or Level 4 NZQA (or equivalent/above) or willingness to work towards
- Good Communication Skills-Excellent command of the English language
- Full NZ driver's license
- Culturally aware and willing to work rostered shifts
