We are looking for part-time Support Workers in the North Shore Auckland region for our Whanau Support Services.

What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko?

You will support people in their homes and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, helping them achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless.

• People who are passionate about helping others, kind, and understanding
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth
• Full driver's licence and own vehicle essential
• A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
• Somebody who has the initiative to support people towards their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
• Respectful of others' thinking and their way of living life that may be different from your own

Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role, as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
