MÓN is a seven day a week food producer with a high volume Café, Restaurant and a separate Artisan Bakery located in the centre of Havelock North village.
We are looking for the best hospitality staff to help take our business to the next level. We are a cafe - bakery by day and asian fusion restaurant by night.

- Commis Chef / Kitchen Hand
- Cafe Manager (Our manager heads overseas in February)
- Bartender / Duty Manager
- Barista
- Restaurant Assistant
- Weekend Van Driver
All roles are permanent employment.
Responsibilities:
Baker / Senior Baker – Prepare a wide variety of bakery goods such as Artisan Sourdoughs, Breads, Pies, Pastries, Slices, Cakes, Cookies etc (Diploma in Baking preferred). Must be knowledgeable and experienced in Bakery food.
Apprentice Baker – Training and Apprenticeships available. Come and train to be a baker with us.
Patisserie Chef / Pastry Chef – Prepare a wide variety of exceptionally presented goods such as Cakes, Desserts, Torten, Gateaux, Pastries, Semifreddo, Chocolates and Gelato etc following traditional and modern recipes (Diploma in Patisserie preferred).Must be knowledgeable and experienced in Patisserie.
Commis Chef / Kitchen Hand – Work in a busy kitchen to prepare and cooke modern asian-fusion dishes. Wed-Sun afternoons and evenings (Diploma in Cookery preferred).
Cafe Manager - Take full responsibility for the effective operation of our cafe, ensuring effective delivery of high quality customer service, food and drink, managing all food standards with the Head Chef, health & safety requirements and working with the directors to maximise business efficiency and profit.Food planning with Head Chef, costing, ordering and inventory, monitoring and maintaining consistent standards and quality, staff leadership. Skills/experience preferred: time in busy cafe/restaurant/bar, Duty Manager or in a similar leadership role, Liquor Controlling License (LCQ) (preferred) and Managers Certification (preferred).
We are looking for someone who can allow the owners to step back from the business.
Bar Tender / Duty Manager - Take full responsibility for the effective operation of our bar, ensuring effective delivery of high quality customer service, food and drink, managing all drink standards with the Restaurant Manager, health & safety requirements and working with the directors to maximise business efficiency and profit.Drinks planning with Restaurant Manager, costing, ordering and inventory, monitoring and maintaining consistent standards and quality, staff leadership. Skills/experience preferred: time in busy cafe/restaurant/bar, Duty Manager or in a similar leadership role, Liquor Controlling License (LCQ) and Managers Certification.
Barista – Provide exceptional service to customers. Assist in all aspects of the cafe; serving customers clearing tables, restocking, packaging, dishes, cleaning. Make latte art coffee and specialty drinks with speed whilst interacting with customers.They will be able to work on a La Marzocco KB90, Mythos 2 Grinders and a Puq Press. Training available.
Restaurant Assistant – Provide exceptional service to customers. Assist in all aspects of the restaurant; serving customers clearing tables, restocking, packaging, dishes, cleaning. (Afternoons & Evenings)
Weekend Van Driver - Driving the van to deliver our products to our cafe and wholesale customers. Cleaning, dishes. Helping out where needed. Approximately 6-10 hours per weekend.
Expectations:- 5 days a week and required to work Saturday and/or Sunday*
- 40 hr week (Minimum of 36 hours/week)
- Permanent Full-Time
- Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand
