Healthcare Assistant
Wimbledon Villa Rest Home in Feilding is looking for Healthcare Assistants to join the dedicated team.
Location: 204 Manchester Street FeildingHours of work: Full Time, Minimum 30 hours per week, over a 7-day roster
Pay Rate: $23.50 - $29.66 per hour
About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide quality care. Assist with all personal care for our residents. You don’t need any formal qualifications to be a Healthcare Assistant, you do need to have compassion, ability to learn if you want to progress in the field.
Some Duties include but not limited to:
To deliver Quality Care to the Residents of the facility, in accordance with relevant care standards and current good and safe practice, duty schedules, and in an attitude of co-operation and helpfulness
Report to the nurse and complete delegated tasks in a timely manner
Residents’ personal care tasks i.e. hygiene, grooming, toileting
Including mobilising, shaving, brushing of teeth and hair
Maintain documents in resident healthcare records
Skills and Experience
Minimum of 3 years aged care caregiver relevant experience or a qualification above or equivalent to New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 is required.
People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
Fluent in Maori / Cantonese / Mandarin / Pacific Languages would be an advantage but not essential (to meet the cultural diversity community need as per NZS8134)
The flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
