Whanau Support Worker

We are looking for a part-time Support Worker in Dunedin for our Whanau Support Services.
Hours
20 hours per fortnight.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives and to achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do, such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless!

- People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth
- Full driver's licence and owning your own vehicle is essential
- A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
- Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
- You need to be respectful of others' thinking and their way of living life that may be different to your own
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role, as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
