Line Setter

As a privately-owned company operating across Australia and Oceania, we're seeking a passionate and skilled individual to take on the role of Line Setter at our cutting-edge Favona site in Auckland.
About the role
As a Line Setter you would work as part of the Production team and would be responsible for running the production line including setting up machinery, preparing raw materials and ensuring high-quality products are produced to our production standards.Reporting directly to the Production Manager, your responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of operational performance and quality are achieved, meeting our production targets, and exceeding our customer’s expectations. Guaranteed minimum of 40 working hours per week, worked between Monday and Sunday and the hourly rate will be between $35 - $45 NZD depending on the experience.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
- Operating and maintaining can-making and/or end-making production equipment.
- Supporting daily manufacturing operations and production targets.
- Performing machine setups, adjustments, troubleshooting, and changeovers.
- Supervising operators and supporting production teams where required.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and manufacturing standards.
- Assisting with continuous improvement and preventive maintenance activities.
- Experience with can-making and/or end-making equipment
- Press operation and maintenance knowledge
- Leadership and team supervision capability
- Preventive maintenance and machine setup experience
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and production reporting systems
- Hands-on experience with Presses, Seamers, Welders, Liners, Scroll shears, Deep draw presses, Palletizers
