Brick and Block Layer - Thames

We are seeking two skilled and reliable Brick and Block Layers to join our construction team. This is a permanent full-time role, working from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as it is weather-dependent. Flexibility required as hours may vary, however, 30 hours per week is guaranteed.
We offer an hourly rate of $28 – $31, depending on experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other types of building materials in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other materials to construct or repair walls, foundations, partitions, and other structures.
- Mix and apply mortar or other adhesives.
- Ensure structures are level, plumb, and properly aligned.
- Cut and shape bricks and blocks to fit corners, arches, and complex layouts.
- Erecting and dismantling scaffolding.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations on-site.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- MUST have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport as travel between sites will be required.
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Good work attitude, physical fitness, and can work under various weather conditions.
