About the Role An exciting opportunity for a registered nurse has arisen to join our team on a permanent, part time or fulltime basis. You'll be working Monday to Saturday within a dynamic and friendly team. The Medical day unit is currently in consultation to increase in operating hours from 0800 - 2000hrs.
You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of intravenous therapy including blood products, Chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Skills sought are previous experience with peripheral cannulation, central lines. The medical day ward caters for a variety of clients referred from a wide range of departments within CCDHB and the community.
CCDHB has completed building works to create a purpose-built space for the Kenepuru Medical Day Ward (KMDW). The MDW at Kenepuru Hospital is an important part of CCDHB's secondary as well as tertiary service delivery model for the sub-regional populations it serves.
KMDW is particularly important for gastroenterology, neurology, immunology, pre-surgical infusions, blood and cancer treatments and suitable ambulatory infusions. The medical day ward has a strong focus on teamwork and a commitment to excellent standards of nursing care.
