Retail Assistant

Are you passionate about retail and customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have an eye for visual merchandising and design? The Sheepskin Factory Shop is looking for a Retail Store Assistant to join our team in Auckland!

• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection and enquiries.
• Operate the Lightspeed POS system (or similar retail systems) for transactions and stock management.
• Maintain and organise the store layout, ensuring a visually appealing and well-presented display.
• Help manage stock levels, including restocking and inventory control.
• Help assist the store’s social media presence, creating engaging posts and updates.
• Work efficiently under pressure and multitask when required.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Handle general store duties with minimal supervision.

• Fast learner – able to adapt quickly to new tasks and systems.
• Retail POS experience – knowledge of Lightspeed or similar POS systems.
• Excellent customer service skills – friendly, approachable, and professional.
• Ability to handle stress & multitask – thrive in a busy retail environment.
• Visual merchandising skills – ability to create attractive displays.
• Strong organisational skills – keep the store tidy, presentable, and well-stocked.
• Self-motivated & reliable – can work independently with little supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to interact confidently with customers and team members.
