About the role
We have an exciting opportunity following an internal promotion for you to join a stable workshop and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working with a small close-knit, supportive team within a large organization.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this is a varied and truly hands on role that will see you involved mainly in ensuring that the workshop and yards are maintained, trucks are located in the correct sites and providing physical help to the Transport drivers as they load and unload equipment.
Your day-to-day duties will include devanning international shipments and packing national container shipments, assisting with local deliveries and tagging imported and returned equipment. You’ll maintain the housekeeping of all plants and the yard and provide our service technicians with support to maintain the team’s productivity across the workshop.You will also be responsible for washing equipment returned by customers and physically checking all upcoming deliveries of machines, ensuring the machines have been charged and are located in the dispatch area.
Working with the team, you’ll ensure that our customers are provided with great service. The greatest focus of our teams is to work together with our customers to support them to keep their businesses on the go!
This is a permanent, full-time role, Mondays to Fridays and offering paid overtime. You'll work in our Auckland workshop in East Tamaki but may occasionally be required to travel to our Hamilton branch.
Requirements
About you
We're looking for someone with an interest in the automotive industry or who is mechanically-minded. To shine in this role, you’ll bring your enthusiastic personality, customer-focused attitude and good work ethic to our business and be prepared to work closely and collaboratively with the rest of our team.It’s important to have a strong team attitude and great interpersonal and communication skills for this role. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too. Attention-to-detail is essential. There will be manual handling and some heavy lifting required and so you’ll need to be physically fit.
A current Class 1 drivers’ license is essential. A forklift experience/license is preferred, however not essential as we can provide training.
