Parts Assistant / Parts Advisor – Hamilton

Full Time | Monday to Friday

An exciting opportunity is available for a Parts Assistant / Parts Advisor to join a reputable and well-established company based in Hamilton.

We are looking for someone with good all-round experience within the automotive, agricultural, heavy diesel, or earthmoving equipment industries. Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a parts environment, however candidates with less experience and the right attitude will also be considered.

This role would suit someone who is organised, customer-focused, mechanically minded, and eager to build a long-term career within the industry.

Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage stock and inventory efficiently.
  • Verify daily parts stock and process orders accurately.
  • Provide professional advice regarding parts and pricing.
  • Assist customers with parts enquiries and requests.
  • Maintain strong product and parts knowledge.
  • Answer phone enquiries and assist customers.
  • Pick up orders when required.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare parts orders for delivery.
  • Process sales and other transactions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Assist with other duties as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience within automotive, agriculture, heavy diesel, transport, or earthmoving industries preferred.
  • Previous parts experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good numerical and computer skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Experience using inventory or parts systems beneficial.
  • Reliable, motivated, and a team player.

This role is open to New Zealand Citizens, Residents, or candidates with valid Open Work Visas.
