The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and professional Site Manager / Cabinet Installer to join our growing team. You will be the face of Little Giant Interiors on-site, responsible for the high-end installation of our custom cabinetry and ensuring our projects are delivered to the highest standard.
This role requires a unique balance of technical installation expertise and effective communication skills. You will manage the site workflow, solve complex installation challenges, and ensure our clients are delighted with the final result.
Key Responsibilities- Installation: Expert installation of high-end kitchens, wardrobes, and commercial cabinetry.
- Site Management: Lead on-site operations, coordinate with other trades, and manage project timelines.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical installation issues on-site.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and internal workshop staff. Provide clear updates and professional advice.
- Quality Control: Ensure every detail—from precision fitting to finish—meets our brand’s quality standards.
- Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace, adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines.
- Proven Experience: Significant experience as a cabinet installer/joiner, with a deep understanding of joinery techniques and hardware systems (e.g., Blum/Hafele).
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with clients and site teams.
- Professionalism: A customer-focused mindset with the ability to represent the company professionally.
- Problem Solver: Calm under pressure, with the practical ability to handle unforeseen site challenges.
- Licensing: Must hold a Full NZ Driver’s License.
- Work Rights: Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand (Citizen, Resident, or valid Work Visa)
Bilingual Advantage: Fluency in both English and Mandarin is preferred.
