Your voiceand the voices of the people you walk alongsidewill help influence policy, design service initiatives, and hold the system accountable to the communities it serves.This role is all about:Amplifying the voices of taangata whaiora, aiga, and whaanauEnsuring equity, especially for Maaori, Pacific, disabled, youth, and rainbow communitiesSupporting co-design, project work, hui, and fono that shape the future of careEmbedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and honouring Maaori-led wellbeing initiativesWhat Youll BringNZQA Level 4 qualification in mental health, addictions, social sciences or related fieldsPersonal lived experience or experience supporting a close family/whaanau/aiga member through mental health and/or addiction and recoveryKnowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity principles, and Maaori and Pacific worldviewsExcellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to speak Te Reo Maaori or a Pacific Island languageA full clean NZ drivers licenceWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
