1x Full Time position – 32 - 40 Daytime Hours per week (Includes one weekend day)

1x Part Time position – Up to 30 hours per week

Pay rate of up to $29.10 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Are you keen to make a difference for the people in your community while working sociable hours? Do you want permanent set hours each week, with only one later evening likely?

The Independent Living team at Community Care Trust Aotearoa is seeking a dynamic individual with a can-do attitude to join their team on a full-time basis, and there is also an opportunity for a part-time role. These roles involve supporting individuals one-on-one to achieve their goals both in their homes and within the community and are based out of our local Support Centre as part of a team of 30 Support Workers.

This position offers a positive, varied, and supportive team environment where every day brings new challenges and the opportunity to work with multiple different people over your workday.

Key Responsibilities | Nga kawenga matua
  • Building rapport and positive relationships with the people we support.
  • Working alongside individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Supporting people to access the local community and build their support network.
  • Completing competency-based trainings to enhance skills and qualifications.
  • Participating in regular shifts, including one weekend day, with set hours and two permanent consecutive days off per week.
  • Completing administration tasks relating to support.

What you will bring | Nga tohunga mo tenei turanga
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost)
  • Hold a FULL current NZ Driver License (Essential)
  • Be legally eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Have a valid work visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry
