About the RoleWere seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a busy clinical environment. Youll provide direct patient care, health education, and clinical support while promoting sexual wellbeing and reducing the transmission of sexual transmitted infections in our community.
Comprehensive orientation and ongoing training will be provided to support the right person to succeed in this specialised field. Key responsibilities:Provide comprehensive sexual health assessments, testing, treatment and counsellingAdminister vaccinations and medications in line with guidelinesMaintain accurate clinical documentationWork collaboratively with our doctors, nurses and administrative staffParticipate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiativesClick here to view the position description.
About the Team/ServiceThe Sexual Health Service is based at 3 Ohaupo Road in Hamilton and provides free confidential sexual healthcare. We specialise in the prevention, diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted infections. This includes HIV prevention (PrEP and PEP), DoxyPEP, and vaccination to prevent Hepatits B, HPV and MPOX.The service also provides care for a range of related conditions e.g. genital skin conditions, chronic genital pain and gender-affirming care including hormone therapy.
