Kirimana Consultants is seeking skilled Electrician to join our team on a range of exciting projects across Canterbury.
We have multiple positions available for reliable, safety-conscious, and hardworking individuals to work alongside our experienced tradesmen.
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and methods of operation
- Measuring and laying out installation reference points
- Selecting, cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors
- Fabricate, and install cable tray / supports as required
- Install cables in alignment with good electrical practice.
- Use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
- Repair or replace faulty wiring and defective parts
- Position and install electrical switchboards
- Connect electrical systems to power supply
- Test continuity of circuit
- Undertake other related duties as the company may reasonably require.
We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You'll need to communicate effectively with your supervisor, take ownership of your responsibilities, and contribute positively to the team environment.
Minimum Experience Required: At least 3 years' experience in a similar role involving electrical installation, repairs, or maintenance, or hold a trade qualification or higher. We have roles available for all levels such as experienced with or without a limited certificate and those that are full registered/practising Electricians.
You must be able to provide references to support your work history.
Pay & Conditions:
- Hourly rate: $28 - $45 (waged) depending on level of experience, qualifications and licensing
- Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 50 hours depending on the project stage
- Days: Monday to Saturday
- Locations: Roles available across Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Manawatu/Horowhenua, Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Marlborough and Tasman.
For those willing to travel between regions, accommodation and other allowances will be provided.
