Mechanical Engineering Technicians
Universal Pharmaceuticals Limited Auckland
We seek three experienced Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join our busy team in Auckland. This is a full-time position, and you need to work at least 30 hours a week.
Day-to-day work may include, but not be limited to:
- Assemble and install machines efficiently to ensure no delay in productivity
- Test the machine to ensure its smooth operation
- Select the right tools and equipment
- Ensure raw materials and tools are adequately stored, and all tools and equipment are maintained in a mechanically sound and clean condition
- Report to management about the material costs, quantities and machine requirements
- Inspect the equipment for proper functioning on a regular basis
- Adjust the machine for products with different materials, shapes, sizes or any special requirements
- Carry out regular maintenance for mechanical systems and machines
- Troubleshoot faults in the machines and carry out appropriate actions, analyse data and modify the machine’s design to ensure no delay in production
- Ensure all the related safety and security regulations are met. Minimise and eliminate the hazards caused accidents or incident
The successful candidate should ideally have:
- A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or three years of relevant work experience
- Pay attention to details and time requirements, in all aspects of daily work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a professional team
- Problem-solving abilities
- Great people skills both with fellow workmates
- A good level of physical fitness
- Accept flexible working hours
- Honest, trustworthy & well presented
- Comply with our health and safety policy
- Be drug and alcohol-free
