This 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) role supports service delivery across both our Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals, serving a wide population across the Bay of Plenty.As a valued member of the ORL team, you will provide acute and planned care across both adult and paediatric populations.
You will also contribute to clinical supervision, support junior medical staff (including one Registrar and one House Officer), and participate equally in the on-call roster.About the Team/Service/ LocationYou will be part of a supportive and growing Otorhinolaryngology team delivering services across the stunning coastal region of the Bay of Plenty.

You will work well across specialties, bring clear clinical judgement to complex cases, and value teamwork as much as technical skill.What you will bring: Fellowship or qualifications suitable for vocational registration in ORL with the Medical Council of New Zealand.Eligibility for vocational registration within two years (if not already registered)A team-focused mindset with a strong commitment to equitable service deliveryClinical experience in both paediatric and adult ENT careAbility to contribute to the acute roster and support junior medical staffCultural competence and a commitment to improving outcomes for Māori and underserved populationsWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
