Azwood is a leading New Zealand manufacturer of carbon-neutral wood fuels, helping businesses transition away from fossil fuels. We're looking for a reliable and practical Plant Operator to join our pellet manufacturing team.
About the Role:
In this hands-on role, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery used in the pellet production process, ensuring quality standards are met and production runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.We're looking for a motivated individual with mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:- Operate plant and machinery including wheel loaders and forklifts
- Monitor and manage production processes
- Follow health, safety, and quality standards
- Identify and suggest process improvements
- Keep work areas clean and equipment in good working order
- A solid work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
- Logical thinking and a process driven mindset
- Forklift OSH certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Wheel loader experience (or the right attitude to learn)
- Physically fit – capable of lifting up to 20kg
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
