Queenstown - Automotive Technician

Queenstown Auto Services is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our tight-knit team. We are a well-established, locally owned workshop with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, integrity, and excellent customer service.

This is a demanding, hands-on role suited to a self-motivated individual who takes pride in delivering top-tier work. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across both petrol and diesel vehicles.

To be considered, you must have:

  • A current automotive trade qualification (New Zealand Level 4 or recognised overseas equivalent)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ full-time experience working in a professional automotive workshop
  • A current NZTA Warrant of Fitness (WoF) Inspector Certificate
  • Proven ability to independently diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic faults
  • Experience servicing and repairing light trailers and both petrol and diesel vehicles
  • High proficiency with modern diagnostic scan tools and interpreting live data
  • Full New Zealand driver’s licence

Strongly Preferred Skills (Advantageous):

  • Air conditioning servicing experience
  • Hybrid servicing and repair experience
  • European vehicle experience
  • Familiarity with industry-standard workshop software (e.g., Workshop Software or SAM)
  • MTA or NZTA Approved Repairer experience
