As a Civil Foreman/Leading Hand, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of civil construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and work closely with site managers and engineers to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the civil crew on-site, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and schedule daily tasks and manage on-site resources.
- Monitor work progress and report on any issues or delays.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
- Conduct daily tool-box talks and promote a positive safety culture on-site.
- Assist with quality control and inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or Leading Hand in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Valid driver's license & WTR Endorsements
