Casual Class 4 Driver
The Company
Our client, Firth Concrete, based in Invercargill, is a well-known and trusted company who supply ready-made concrete to a range of residential, commercial and industrial cliental. We are currently seeking experienced Class 4 drivers to assist with the up and coming next phase of the Kaiwera wind farm commencing late August.
The job
This is a part-time position and will involve working at the wind farm for up to 3 days a week. Transport will be provided to site once operations are up and going. This role will involve driving a class 4 road ranger truck, completing safety checks, completing paperwork as required and washing trucks down at the completion of the day.There is a physical element to this role where you will be getting in and out of the vehicle throughout the day as well as being responsible for the washing down of the truck.
Working Days and hours
The scheduled days are Tuesday and Thursday however, this will likely increase to include Wednesdays also. Start times will be 5am at the yard and you will be driven to site once operations are underway. Generally, you will be back in town by 3pm in the afternoon.
About you
We are seeking competent and experienced Class 4 drivers who are happy to undertake part-time work driving a concrete truck. We are looking for candidates that are able to possess the following skills and experience; * Must hold a current Class 4 license- You must be physically fit and able to get in and out of the vehicle often as well as clean it at the end of the day.
- Must be safety conscious and abide by all Site rules and regulations
- Must be reliable, punctual and with a strong work ethic
- You are able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
- Weekly Pay
- Full PPE provided
- $30 per hour
